The Vandersliks purchased this little house in 1994 to keep it from being torn down and a McMansion built which would block the view from their house across the street (the Big House). It was rented by the same tenant until 2019 at which time the family intended to continue renting it–thus the creation of this website “The Little House on the Coast”.
We fell in love with the little house and instead of renting it, it’s been a vacation home for family.

The large yard is full of poppies in the summer and home to a wide variety of wild-life: birds, butterflies, especially Monarch and bunnies! (see image below).
